The Chairman of the Transition Committee of Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, Chief Raphael Asha Nnabuife, has called on the people of Anambra state to ensure the re-election of Governor Willie Obiano on November 18, 2017 or risk taking the state back to the days of people sleeping in churches for safety against attacks by kidnappers and armed robbers.
Chief Nnabuife said this while receiving three Pentecostal Bishops, Ben Obianwu, Mike Chukwudum and Victory Uchezirim at Idemili North Local Government Area who prayed with him for the return of Governor Obiano for second term. “I am appealing to the people of Anambra State to ensure that the state Governor, Chief Willie Obiano was re-elected for a second tenure or risk going back to the dark days when people were sleeping in the churches to avoid being attacked by armed robbers, while industrialists were relocating to Abuja and Lagos for safety from the hands of kidnappers. The three Bishops during the prayer titled: “Idemili North Local Government earnestly call for the re-election of Governor Willie Obiano for second term” held at the council hall of the Local Government Headquarters Ogidi, painted a picture of a good security situation in the state. While Bishop Obianwu said “that Anambra state cannot afford to go back to Egypt but must reach the promise land,” Bishop Chukwudum said Governor Obiano has the welfare of the people and workers in the state at heart by providing infrastructures and ensuring prompt payment of workers’ salaries.
