Abadoned Homes up for sale for as Little as N460, About 900 of Them to Be Sold for Different Prices.

 - Castiglione di Sicilia in Italy is selling abadone houses for €1 (N460.36) each after the owners migrated to other countries and never returned.

 - There are roughly 900 abandoned homes for sale and the ones in better condition will be sold from €4,000

(N1,841,488.14) to €5,000 (N2,301,818.26).

- Those who once occupied the houses were said to have migrated to other countries in search of greener pastures.

 - Selling those houses for such amounts is geared towards bringing people back to the town to grow its population and rescue the ruined architectural heritage.

 –Another Sicilian town in Italy, Castiglione di Sicilia, is selling abandoned houses for €1 each. There are around 900 abandoned houses available for sale. Half of those houses are ruined and will be sold for €1 (N460.36) each while the rest which are stilll in better condition will be sold from €4,000 (N1,841,488.14) to €5,000 (N2,301,818.26), CNN reports.

 -The abandoned houses are for sale from as little as €1, €4,000 to €5,000.

-UGC Speaking about the houses, Mayor Antonino Camarda said: "We have a huge architectural heritage to rescue, packed with history. Over time, too many people have left, leaving behind a bunch of old, picturesque houses, many even dating back to the Renaissance." 

-The €1 homes are cottages once owned by shepherd and farming families, while the more expensive ones include palatial houses that were occupied by the middle class. Many residents of the town were said to have migrated to Australia and South America in search of greener pastures. 

-They didn't return and their homes fell into disrepair after many years of their absence. According to Independent, an auction will be held to determine the new owner if many people show interest in a particular property.
